NO EXPECTATIONS

Journal Entry: Sun May 11, 2008, 7:30 PM
Hey, everyone,
A friend of mine is moving back to her homeland, in Europe, after spending time here in the USA.
Let's just say that the good old USA, was not the land of opportunity for her. She did not sneak over the Mex/USA border in the darkness of night. Nor did she ride here on an inner tube from Cuba.
No, I don't want to start a political debate in this journal. I don't even want to get fed up with polls.
Although, I would like to see real change in this country. After all, 2008 is an election year...
So, without going into details, regarding my friend, it is really none of my business, anyways...a song came to mind, and the lyrics are fine...moondog

NO EXPECTATIONS
words: Mick Jagger/Keith Richards
music: The Rolling Stones, "Beggars Banquet" cd 1968

Take me to the station
And put me on a train
I've got no expectations
To pass through here again

Once I was a rich man and
Now I am so poor
But never in my sweet short life
Have I felt like this before

You heart is like a diamond
You throw your pearls at swine
And as I watch you leaving me
You pack my peace of mind

Our love was like the water
That splashes on a stone
Our love is like our music
Its here, and then its gone

So take me to the airport
And put me on a plane
I got no expectations
To pass through here again

Greetings Moondogprod

We will have to stop meeting like this. Art majeur too, whatever next? People will talk....

Seriously, good to see so many artists not being afraid to do patternistic stuff.

Makes me want to get back to my sad old doodling.

Yes, and I believe my college Astronomy book has been updated many, many times...The Hubble telescope is just rad. It has changed so many theories into newer theories. Ha. I wish I could live to study the knowledge our kids, and grandkids will learn.
For instance, Cassini spacecraft showed that Saturn's rings would fit between the Earth and our moon, maybe beyond.

It was a pretty popular theory for a while. I think it is still considered probable but there is always opposing opinions. For our sized planet we have a huge moon. It is an anomaly not easily explained.
